About Jackie

ICF Certified Coach with 20+ years of experience and a Masters's in Technology Project Management. Leadership coach passionate about supporting technical professionals transitioning into new leadership roles.

I started my career over two decades ago as a backend PL/SQL developer with a BBA in Management Computer Systems and an MBA in Technology Project Management.

I went from software development to product development and then finally landed in people development.

In 2013 when one of my 4 children was given an autism diagnosis, I realized that I needed to reprioritize and find a work/life balance that worked for my new family dynamic. In 2016 I started my own software company to support families caring for children and older adults with chronic conditions. I quickly found the software wasn't enough and that began my coaching journey. In 2019 I got my ICF Professional Coaching Certification and I am currently working toward my Master Certified Coach certification with ICF.

I became a coach because I found out the hard way that technology wasn't enough to solve all the problems my clients and my family were encountering as caregivers for special needs children and aging parents. While I was seeking ways to better support my clients, I found coaching. Coaching was the missing piece.

I found that micro-habit change and habit chaining were the keys to supporting my neurodivergent daughter. It turned out that habit change, mindset change, and behavior change were the keys to supporting everyone ... including the inner work that I needed to do to become a better leader and a better parent.

I believe that every member has all the answers inside of themselves, at least as it relates to mindset work. I also believe that nearly anyone can learn nearly anything if they make the new habits small enough. I work with members to help them see the outcomes they desire, overcome the obstacles that are holding them back, and hold them accountable the way they need to be held accountable.

My style is very middle-of-the-road. I'm a little bit coach and a little bit consultative. I have worked with individuals that work at LinkedIn, Amazon, Uber, Twitch, Gilead, USCF, Cornell University, GitHub, Meru Health, Xerox, Honeywell, Scribd, and Webflow to name a few. I know the business side and the brain side of the equation and I work with you to find the resources, tools, support, and connections you need to be your best-inspired self. It's kind of like being a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll.

I am a combination of spirited and considerate - defined below. Most of all though, I have an adaptive style that modifies to what is needed by the client.

Spirited. The spirited style has high assertiveness and high expressiveness. This style coaches by inspiring, and they visualize the big picture and use their creativity.

Considerate. Considerate style coaches have low assertiveness and high expressiveness. They coach by facilitating a comfortable environment and being empathetic and encouraging.

What People Say About Jackie

"When I first gave thought to hiring Jackie as a coach, I wasn’t even convinced that I needed help.  From the very first call, she has put me at ease about my feelings, and she has highlighted so many ways that I was missing out on opportunities to feel better ... even if I didn’t realize them.  She is engaging, persistent, and thorough in her advice, and the techniques she offers are effective even when I only use a portion of the concepts.  Best of all, Jackie is FUN!  She makes every call a positive experience (even during ‘fail’ weeks), and I always look forward to working with her again.”

"Coach Jackie has an amazing ability to keep me on track. She is right there with me on that business roller coaster, through the ups and the downs, the spirals and the drops. She will re-center me and keep me focused on my path to success. Her techniques help me press on to the important matters letting go of beliefs or activities that do not serve me anymore. She has a calming presence that fosters that special PAUSE that brings clarity and rebuilds confidence. She is an accountability partner that not only motivates but inspires forward action and positive thinking. Her consistency keeps me persistent and hungry for more. She is an expert who has become my professional resource and personal advocate. Thank you 5 Star Jackie!"

“Jackie is an empathetic human being and honest coach. I felt that she was on my side and truly cared. She also followed up and brainstormed creative ways to achieve my goals, without being pushy (maybe sometimes she was way too kind). In any case, her approach is very practical and workable, which I love. She is also an easy-going, simple person to approach. Very good at managing her time and commitments.”
